A public secondary school serving Tanahun

Shree Talbesi Secondary School, located in Shuklagandaki Municipality–9, Ghari, Tanahun, is a community-based educational institution dedicated to providing quality education since 2039 BS. The school offers classes from Grade 1 through Grade 12, with Science, Management, and Humanities streams at the higher secondary level. With a team of 52 dedicated staff members and over 750 students, Talbesi Secondary School is committed to academic excellence, character development, and community engagement. The school emphasizes both curricular and co-curricular growth, with active student clubs, sports programs, and cultural activities that nurture well-rounded individuals.

Academics

Results & academic focus

Our students consistently perform well in the SEE examinations. In the previous academic year, over 75% of our SEE candidates achieved Grade Point Average (GPA) 3.0 and above. We offer Science, Management, and Humanities streams at the higher secondary level, with dedicated laboratory facilities for science students.

Calendar

Important dates

  1. New academic session 2083 BS begins

    Regular classes commence for all grades from Grade 1 through Grade 12. Newly enrolled students should report to their section teachers.

  2. Parent-Teacher Orientation Day

    Introduction of annual curriculum, examination pattern, and co-curricular activities for guardians. Attendance strongly encouraged.

  3. First Terminal Examination begins

    Examinations for all grades. Students should collect their admit cards from the academic office by June 15.

  4. Annual Sports Day & Extracurricular Competition

    Inter-house sports competitions including athletics, volleyball, and traditional games. Cultural performances in the afternoon.

  5. Environmental Awareness Week

    Tree plantation drive, school clean-up campaign, poster presentations, and awareness rallies led by the Eco Club.

  6. Second Terminal Examination

    Second term exams for all grades. Detailed schedule will be published on the notice board.

  7. School Anniversary & Prize Distribution Day

    Annual celebration with cultural programs and prize distribution for academic and extracurricular achievements. Chief guest invitation pending.

  8. Winter Break Begins

    School remains closed for winter vacation until January 10, 2027. Happy holidays!
